An ambitious follow-up in the vein of Gold Digger, blending Toshiki Kadomatsu’s signature melodies with disco, boogie, and dance music. Standouts include the album-version take of “The Best of Love” (different from the single), the ’80s electro-funk opener “Overture – Take Off Melody,” the Sugar Babe–inspired “1975” with rap-style name drops of Sugar Babe and Sadistic Mika Band, and the highly danceable “Pile Driver,” later cut as a 12" remix single. |
