A masterpiece showcasing the essence of Taeko Ohnuki's sophisticated pop songwriting. Featuring the classic "Shikisai Toshi", with backing vocals by EPO, and the charming pop number "Peter Rabbit to Watashi," a track that opened a new creative direction and was later covered by Etsuko Yakushimaru on a tribute album. Also included is "Kaze no Michi," originally provided by Ohnuki and beautifully arranged by Jean Musy for Rajie's 1979 third album Quatre, along with the chanson-inspired "Hikari no Carnival," the melodic and stylish "Tsumujikaze," and the timeless single "Kuro no Claire," later covered by artists such as KIRINJI and Hiromi Iwasaki. While her early works such as SUNSHOWER (featuring the iconic track "Tokai") often receive the most attention, this album stands alongside her 1983 masterpiece Signifie as one of Taeko Ohnuki's finest works of the 1980s. |
