Prism's second album expands the band's early Japanese jazz-fusion sound through intricate compositions, progressive structures and powerful ensemble playing. Guitarists Akira Wada and Katsutoshi Morizono are joined by keyboardist and composer Daisaku Kume, bassist Ken Watanabe and drummer Toru Suzuki, creating a technically accomplished mixture of jazz-rock, funk and atmospheric electric fusion. Highlights including "Daydream," "Spanish Soul" and "Crystal Night" showcase fluid guitar work, expressive synthesizers and tightly controlled rhythmic interplay. |
