Naniwa Express delivers a technically accomplished blend of jazz fusion, jazz-funk and high-energy crossover on "Daiuchuhmugenryokushin." The classic lineup features Kazuhiko Iwami on guitar, Kenji Nakamura on keyboards, Makoto Aoyagi on saxophone and keyboards, Kiyoshi Shimizu on bass, and Rikiya Higashihara on drums and percussion. Tracks such as "Red Zone," "Image" and the expansive title piece highlight the band's tight ensemble playing, powerful rhythm section, melodic improvisation and distinctly energetic Osaka fusion sound. |
