Featuring an all-star lineup including Shuichi “PONTA” Murakami, Tatsuo Hayashi, Yukihiro Takahashi, Tsugutoshi Goto, Ray Ohara, Masayoshi Takanaka, Kenji Omura, Kazuo Shiina, Hirokuni Korekata, Motoya Hamaguchi, and Singers Three.
Highlights include the melancholic, sample-friendly mellow groove of “Stand Still” and “Dareka ni Seowarete,” the thrilling “Shijima,” opening with an eccentric piano phrase perfect for sampling, the atmospheric “Michikusa,” and “Bongaeri,” whose intro would work beautifully pitched up at 45 RPM.
A highly recommended Japanese album for producers, beatmakers, and sample hunters.
