Hiromi Iwasaki's Pandora no Kobako brings Kyohei Tsutsumi's songwriting together with the studio musicians of Dr. Dragon & Sound of Arab, including Ryuichi Sakamoto, Tsugutoshi Goto and Masaki Matsubara. The funky disco kayō of "Biyaku" sits alongside the mellow, string-laden "Conversation," making this a strong pick for listeners exploring Japanese soul and rare groove. |
