Hatsumi Shibata's powerful, expressive vocals meet Yuji Ohno's arrangements throughout "Singer Lady." The title track pairs her voice with a driving groove, while "Mou Ichido Kikasete" and "Byakuya No Hate" reveal the album's range of jazz, soul and dramatic pop. An essential listen for collectors of Japanese jazz vocals, jazz-funk and rare groove. |
