Comment
Led by pianist and composer Fumio Karashima, “Transparent” presents sophisticated modern Japanese jazz shaped by lyrical piano, fluid post-bop improvisation and finely balanced ensemble playing. The sessions feature Kiyoto Fujiwara on bass, Shingo Okudaira on drums, Kohsuke Mine on saxophone, Masami Nakagawa on flute and Jun Miyake on flugelhorn, creating a spacious and expressive acoustic sound.
