Comment
Master taiko performer Eitetsu Hayashi brings traditional Japanese percussion into a contemporary concert setting on "Kaze No Shisha." Built around the immense physical resonance of taiko drums, the album moves between meditative space, ritual-like repetition and explosive rhythmic passages. Hayashi's precise control of dynamics and silence transforms percussion into both a melodic and dramatic voice, creating an atmospheric work for collectors of Japanese traditional music, contemporary classical composition, experimental sound and audiophile recordings.
