Released in 1986, this blockbuster 3rd single cemented the image of “summer = TUBE.” While the remix 12" played by DJs like Kubota Takeishi is highly sought after, this one is the original 7-inch single. Lyrics are by singer-songwriter Tomoko Aran, known for her wide range of songwriting work (including “Summer Dream”), with composition by Tetsurō Oda. Features the summer anthem “Season in the Sun,” used in the Kirin Bin-Nama commercial and covered countless times, backed with “Kon’ya wa Heartache,” a non-album, never-reissued-on-CD track.
